Settlement bank accounts

The accounts a property settles into — masked by default, encrypted at rest, with every reveal of the full number recorded.

Who this is for: Accountant, Owner, Manager — reading needs backoffice.bankaccount.read; adding or deactivating needs backoffice.bankaccount.manage; seeing the full number needs backoffice.bankaccount.reveal. Where: Accounting → Bank Accounts

This is where a property's own settlement accounts are recorded — the accounts payouts, refunds and manual transfers actually move through. It is Finance data, not hotel-wide configuration, which is why it sits under Accounting rather than on the property's own Settings → Hotel screen.

The screen opens on a Bank Accounts tab. A second tab, Chart of Accounts, is a placeholder today — the chart of accounts already exists as data (see the ledger) but has no management screen of its own yet; this page is built to hold it later without restructuring.

Add an account#

  1. Select Add bank account.
  2. Fill in the bank name, branch, and the account name the bank holds it under.
  3. Enter the account number.
  4. Optionally add the SWIFT/BIC code.
  5. Enter the currency as a three-letter code, such as IDR or USD.
  6. Select Add bank account.

Catatan

A currency that does not match the property's own currency is flagged, not blocked. The account is still created — a property legitimately settles into more than one currency — but a mismatch warning tells you it is worth double-checking before you rely on it.

Read the list#

Every account shows its bank, branch, account name, currency, and a masked number — never the full digits. An inactive account carries a badge saying so.

Reveal the full number#

Select Reveal on an account. The full number replaces the mask on screen, for that account, for this viewing only.

Penting

Every reveal is recorded. The account number is stored encrypted, with its own encryption key separate from payment data, guest documents and step-up secrets — so a compromise of one blast radius does not expose another. Decrypting it for a reveal is logged in the same audit trail as any other sensitive read. backoffice.bankaccount.reveal is a separate permission from read/manage specifically so a role can work with the account list — activate, deactivate, add a new one — without ever being able to see the full number.

Activate or deactivate an account#

Select Deactivate (or Activate) on the account. Deactivating does not delete it — the record and its history stay, it simply stops being one a property should be settling into going forward.

What's next#

  • The ledger — the chart of accounts these settlement accounts will eventually sit alongside
  • Accounts payable — the bills a settlement account ultimately pays
