Table plan

Lay an outlet's tables out on a floor plan by drag and drop, so the terminal and the scheduler can show where a table actually sits.

Who this is for: Owner, Manager — reading needs pos.catalog.read; creating a table or moving one needs pos.table.manage. Where: Settings → Table Plan

A table already exists the moment the terminal needs one to open a check against — this screen is what gives it a position, so a floor plan can show where it actually sits instead of only a name in a list.

Create a table#

  1. Select the outlet.
  2. Select New table.
  3. Name it ("T12"), give it a zone ("Patio", "Indoor") and its seat count.
  4. Select New table.

A new table has no position yet, so it starts in the unplaced list beside the plan rather than on it.

Place a table on the plan#

Drag a table's chip from the unplaced list onto the floor plan. Its position is stored as a fraction of the plan's width and height (0 at one edge, 1 at the other) rather than pixels, so the same layout still makes sense if the plan is ever viewed at a different size.

Drag a table that is already placed to move it; there is no separate "edit position" form.

Edit or unplace a table#

Select a placed table's name to edit its zone or seat count. To take a table off the plan without deleting it, use its remove control — it goes back to the unplaced list, it does not stop existing.

หมายเหตุ

A table's position is independent of whether it's in use. Moving a table on this screen never touches an open check sitting on it — the terminal reads a table's status separately from its position.
