The companies and agencies a sales team sells to — who to call, why they stay, how they were won, and what each reason for stay is worth in the pipeline.

An account is an organisation the property sells to — a corporate client, a travel agency, an embassy, an event organiser. It is not a guest profile: a guest is a person who slept here, an account is a relationship that sends people.

The Sales Accounts screen: a

The register and the report it produces, on one screen — because "who do we sell to" and "what is that worth" are the same question asked twice.

Read an account#

Column What it carries
Account name The organisation
Contact The named person, with their email and phone
Reason for stay Why this account's people come — corporate event, crew, government, conference
Referral source How the relationship was won

Search matches the account name, the contact's name, their email or their phone, so an inbound call can be identified from whatever the caller gives you.

Create one#

  1. Select New account.
  2. Name the organisation and its contact.
  3. Set the reason for stay and the referral source.
  4. Save.

Both classifications come from house-editable reference lists, so the vocabulary is yours rather than one somebody else chose.

หมายเหตุ

Referral source appears in two places and means the same thing in both. On an account it is how this organisation was won; on a guest profile it is how that person was won. They are separate records because a corporate account and the individual travellers it sends are separate relationships — and both feed the conversion reporting on Opportunities.

Read demand by reason for stay#

The panel above the list groups the whole book of business by reason for stay:

Column Means
Accounts How many accounts give this reason
Open opportunities How many live deals sit behind them
Pipeline value What those deals are worth

The three columns are deliberately not one number. Accounts is the size of the relationship base; open opportunities is how much of it is currently in play; pipeline value is what it is worth. A reason for stay with many accounts and no open opportunities is a segment that has gone quiet — which is invisible if you only ever look at the pipeline total.

This is the demand-side view. The conversion side — what actually closes, and from which referral source — is on Opportunities.
