Guest preferences
Every open request in the house as one list — the coded ones the board already badges, and the written ask that has no catalog entry.

Who this is for: Front Desk, Manager, Owner — requires
housekeeping.status.update. Where: Housekeeping → Guest Preferences
The room status board already badges each occupied room with its guest's coded requests. That works when you are looking at one room. It does not work when you are briefing the floor at the start of a shift and want to know, in one pass, what the house has been asked for today.
This is the same information as a list — plus the one thing the badges cannot carry.
Read it#
Pick a date and every in-house or arriving stay carrying a request appears:
| Column | What it carries |
|---|---|
| Room | The assigned room, or unassigned where none has been given yet |
| Guest | The name on the stay |
| Stay | Arrival → departure, in the property's own date format |
| Requests | The coded special requests, one badge each |
| Note | The stay's free-text preference |
Coded and written are different things#
Requests are drawn from the house's special_request list under Reference Data — high floor, extra pillows, cot, whatever your house maintains. Because they are catalog entries they can be badged, counted, and renamed in one place.
Note is the ask that has no catalog entry: "celebrating an anniversary, the flowers go on the desk not the bed". Before this list existed a request like that had nowhere to live — it went in somebody's head or on a printed sheet.
A stay appears here while either is present. Clear the note and the row stays as long as a code is still open; remove the code too and the row goes.
注意
Adding this list changed nothing about how the board badges a room. Same codes, same badges, same tiles — this is a second view of them, not a second source.
Know that it is read-only#
There is nothing to edit here. A preference belongs to the stay, so it is written on the reservation under the stay's own write permission: housekeeping reads it, the desk owns it.
To add or change one, open the stay in Reservations and set its special requests and preference there. It appears on this list, on the rooming list, and on the room's tile.
What's next#
