Outlets

The primary place to edit an outlet's profile — name, kind, revenue centre and default currency. Point of Sale keeps quick-create; full editing lives here.

Who this is for: Owner, Manager — reading needs pos.catalog.read; editing needs pos.outlet.manage. Where: Settings → Outlets

An outlet — the restaurant, the bar, the spa, the ballroom — is a mini-hotel profile, not just a row on a Point of Sale list. This screen is its primary home, the same move Room Category and Ancillary already made: configuration that used to live only where it was first used now lives with the rest of property configuration, under Settings.

Point of Sale → Outlets & Catalog still exists and still creates outlets — that screen is where the day-to-day work is, so quick-create stays there. But the fields that used to be un-editable once an outlet existed — its name, its kind, its revenue centre — are only editable here.

Create an outlet#

  1. Select New outlet.
  2. Name it, choose its kind, and optionally a revenue centre code.
  3. Select Create.

This is the same create flow as Point of Sale's own screen — either one works, and both write the same record.

Edit an outlet's profile#

  1. Select Edit on the outlet.
  2. Change its name, kind, revenue centre or default currency.
  3. Select Save.

Ghi chú

A default currency that doesn't match the property's own is flagged, not blocked — the same mismatch warning settlement bank accounts uses, for the same reason: it is sometimes correct, and always worth a second look.

Quan trọng

Changing an outlet's kind changes which screens it appears on. A restaurant moved to spa disappears from the terminal and appears on the scheduler instead. See what the kind decides for the full table.

Activate or deactivate an outlet#

Select Deactivate (or Activate) on the outlet. This is also new: the Point of Sale screen has never had a way to take an outlet out of service, and now this one does.
