Listings and vanity properties

Present one operational hotel as several OTA storefronts — a villa, a wing, a brand — each with its own room categories and channels.

Some properties are one hotel to operate and several to sell. A resort with a villa compound, a building with a serviced-apartment wing, a heritage house with its own name on the OTAs — each wants its own storefront, its own photos and its own channel connection, without becoming a second property to run.

A listing — a vanity property — is that storefront. It groups a subset of your room categories and binds its own channels. Everything else stays single: one rack, one arrivals list, one set of folios.

The whole hotel is always the default listing. A room category or channel with no listing assigned belongs to it. A property that sells as one thing needs nothing on this screen.

Create a listing#

  1. Open Reservations → Listings.
  2. Select the create action.
  3. Name it as guests will see it on the OTA.
  4. Choose its kind — what sort of thing it is, such as a villa.
  5. Save.

The listing appears with its kind badged. It is empty until you assign room categories to it.

Assign room categories to a listing#

Under Room categories, each category has two controls.

  1. Set the listing — Default (whole hotel), or the listing it belongs to.
  2. Set its unit scope:
Scope Means
Standard An ordinary room category
Entire unit The whole composed unit — the villa
Component A part of a composed unit — a bedroom in it

The unit scope is what lets one listing sell a villa whole while another sells its bedrooms separately, without either overselling the other. The physical containment behind it is set up on rooms and units, and availability enforces it regardless of how the listings are arranged.

Bind a channel to a listing#

Under Channel connections, set each channel to Whole hotel or to one listing.

A channel bound to a listing sees only that listing's room categories. That is how the villa gets its own OTA page with its own inventory, while the main hotel's channels carry on unaffected.

Read production by listing#

Production by listing shows bookings and revenue per listing, with the default row covering the whole hotel.

It is the answer to "is the villa storefront actually earning its own listing?" — which is worth asking before adding a third one.

Delete a listing#

Select Delete on the listing card. Its room categories and channels return to the default — the whole hotel — rather than being deleted with it.

สำคัญ

Deleting a listing changes what a bound channel is selling. Unbind and re-map the channel deliberately rather than leaving it to fall back, and re-certify it afterwards. See connecting a channel.
